A friend of mine Natalie, who is visiting from Boston (originally from Toronto) organized a dinner with our two other girlfriends. The girls decided to go to Mideastro, a fine-dining Mediterranean and Middle Eastern fusion restaurant in Yorkville. It was a good choice- the serving was pretty small which was great for sharing appetizers and entrées. Each dish has a distinct well balanced flavours that is worth every penny.

Chef Benny, sent us some Black Truffle Carpaccio for appetizer and Fig Kativ & Hazelnut Parfait for our surprise desserts.

Black Truffle Carpaccio $13 -with balsamic pomegranate reduction
Fish Kebab $14
Pan Seared Halibut $32 -with whipped fennel cream
Fig Kativ $11 - crispy pastry with mascarpone, figs & pistachios

Thanks to Anne's never-ending restaurant list we got to try a true Middle Eastern cuisine this time.
