It's been a while...

It's been a while since my last post, and for those of you who are following my instagram may have an idea of what is cooking behind, Mveedines.

A lot have asked, if I got engaged, got married or probably got pregnant - the answer is, "NO" - and technically, "YES." Since, May of last year, I decided to follow my passion. I've been involved in a new project, and just like any other relationships or milestones I agreed to be engaged and nurture my newly born child, Left Bank Grill & Wine Bar - my first venture as an operating partner.
In every journey, nothing is easy - peasy, neither in the picture perfect world of social media. My hibernation from writing blogs and updating "mveedines" felt like, I neglected my first born child. I was waiting for the right time to introduce my new venture and to relaunch Mvee Food & Media. I waited long enough, that I had all these thoughts of - "what if Mvee Food & Media fails, what if the restaurant close in less than a year or two, what if I can't handle the pressure" - I don't want these on social media, I was paranoid of failure.

While I was browsing instagram, the other day, I saw a photo of Paul Arden's book, "It's Not How Good You Are, It's How Good You Want To Be," it reminded me of Samuel Beckett's quote - "Fail, fail again, fail better" - a saying that helped me get over my fears and strive harder in achieving my goals in the past. I awoke to a realisation of holding back is never a good sign, moving forward is. "Every failure, is a sign of success," my mantra, that was lost for awhile. As, I continue with this journey, I have had learned a valuable lesson in business and in life - "We live to fight another day."
